Key takeaways from Fluix’s Field Productivity Meetup

We invited a small group of our customers to join us in Berlin on October 29th, for a full day of informative talks, knowledge-sharing and networking at the Berlin Capital Club.

Fluix’s CEO, Igor Zhadanov, kicked off the event and shared the story of how Fluix became the company we know it as today. Julia Nikolaenko, Head of Product, shared her experience of spearheading the software development side of the business, to ensure that Fluix scaled alongside customer growth.

Customer Presentations:

1. Siemens Gamesa’s IT Coordinator Team Lead and Smart Mobile Engineer, Kathryn Ridsdale, spoke about the logistics of successfully scaling new software, like Fluix, across a large field team of wind turbine technicians. Technicians often work to strict deadlines in challenging weather conditions, so time is an invaluable commodity. Kathryn explained that the rollout and onboarding phase of any software is critical in determining if implementation will be a success or a costly lesson learned.

Key takeaway: When considering implementing a software solution, start small with a controlled pilot test, so that implementation can be rolled out more effectively in stages, and improvements can be scaled faster.

2. Titan Airways pilots, Andrew Taggart and Charlie Hampson, demonstrated how Fluix is part of their Electronic Flight Bag — helping pilots complete mandatory checks and procedures on the flight deck, as well as allowing offline access to flight plans. Andrew explained how Fluix has helped him to coordinate training and digitize heavy paper manuals for new pilots. Charlie added that Fluix’s offline capabilities are a particularly valuable asset to pilots who often have limited WiFi access. He also highlighted the additional benefits that the software has brought to teams working on the ground in the Titan office. The office teams, called ground cadets, have been able to streamline Titan’s document management process by using Fluix’s workflows and automatic document syncing features.

Key takeaway: Consider the offline capabilities of your chosen software solution, and how well the software facilitates the needs of teams working offsite — especially those working in the air, or in remote locations where connectivity is limited.

Fireside Chat with Fluix Management:

Complete with an on-screen fireplace to offset the chilly Berlin weather! This included an open discussion and Q&A session with Fluix’s management team: Cofounder and CEO (Igor Zhadanov), Cofounder and CTO (Andrian Budantsov), Head of Product (Julia Nikolaenko) and Head of Marketing (Ruchika Hassan). Customers were invited to ask the panel anything and everything about Fluix; from software feature enhancements and market insights to the latest technology trends.

Key takeaway: Fluix has grown as a product, so there are now many different use cases of how our software has helped companies in various industries. This means that there are lots more customer stories and insights to share, and we’ll work on bringing those to you.

Networking Wrap-up:

Our Content Marketer, Jen Butler, moderated an open discussion around the importance of communication and the value of data. Attendees shared their collaboration stories, change management challenges, and examples of the importance of having transparency into document workflows across teams.

Key takeaway: Find the right people at your company to implement software solutions: they should be technical but also people-oriented so that they can support the roll-out with both business and individual user needs in-mind.

Then came dinner, which was the perfect time for attendees to share their thoughts on the day, as well as to network and meet other industry leaders.

This was a successful customer-led event, where attendees could talk freely and share their Fluix experiences and learnings for real-world process optimization. We look forward to hosting more customer productivity meet-ups in the future!
